Halloween Celebration Raises €1,005 for Masonic Charities

Ghosts, ghouls, vampires and other unworldly creatures from Jávea Lodge No. 40, Armonia de Ifach Lodge No. 46, and Oliva La Safor Lodge No. 112 came together for a memorable Halloween Party at Bistro Va Bene, Moraira, enjoying an evening of fellowship, entertainment, and charitable giving.

Before the festivities began, W. Bro. Kevin Hamilton asked everyone to observe a minute’s silence for the victims of the tragic train crash in the Province of Toledo.

Around 60 guests attended the event, with the majority embracing the Halloween spirit by arriving in imaginative and colourful fancy dress costumes. The evening began with a cava reception followed by a delicious three-course meal, providing the perfect setting for friends and brethren to socialise and celebrate together.

Entertainment was provided by The Renegades, whose lively performance kept the dance floor busy throughout the evening. Guests also supported a raffle, ably organised by W. Bro. Paul Nicholls and his wife Helen, contributing to the event’s charitable success.

The award for Best Costume was jointly won by Bro. Alejandro Uribe and Anna Stepanova, whose creative outfits impressed both judges and fellow guests alike.

At the conclusion of the evening, W. Bros. Kevin Hamilton, Ian Raistrick, and David Clarke thanked everyone for their support, participation, and generosity, which helped make the event such a success. Special mention was made of W.Bro. James Morris and his partner Debbie Nichols who lead the organising team and Gill James whose idea it was to create a ‘Guess the number of Sweets” competition which raised €64.

Thanks to the enthusiastic support of all those who attended, the evening raised approximately €1,005 for Masonic Charities, ensuring that the spirit of giving remained at the heart of the celebrations.

The event once again demonstrated the strong bonds of friendship, community, and charity that exist across the lodges of the Province, while providing an enjoyable evening for all who attended.
