Santa Faz Lodge No. 48 held its annual Ladies Night at the Bonalba Hotel on Saturday 26th September. The evening began with a Cava reception, during which our Worshipful Master, W. Bro. Fred Stewart, and his lady Juliana, circulated among the guests and offered a warm welcome.

On moving through to the dining room, Bro. Hamish McConnachie gave the Selkirk Grace, the well-known grace attributed to the famous Scottish poet Robert Burns, himself a Master Mason.

During the meal, the Worshipful Master took wine with his lady, Lodge members, and their guests. The meal and service provided by the Bonalba staff were, once again, first class. Following dinner, the Worshipful Master proposed the Loyal Toast, after which Bro. Haakon Ellingsen gave the Toast to the Ladies in both English and Spanish. His lady, Gemma, then gave the reply.

In his speech, W. Bro. Stewart expressed his thanks to Karen and Richard Davis, Sue and Hamish McConnachie, and Mike Le Peuple for their much appreciated assistance in organising the evening.

Entertainment was provided by “Woody”, whose enjoyable music encouraged members and guests to dance the night away.

The evening proved to be a great success and raised just over 700 euros for the Lodge’s charities.

RLS Santa Faz No 48 recauda 700 € para las obras benéficas de la Logia en una deslumbrante Noche de Damas

La Logia Santa Faz Nº 48 celebró su tradicional Noche de las Damas en el Hotel Bonalba el sábado 26 de septiembre. La velada comenzó con una recepción de cava, durante la cual nuestro Venerable Maestro, el V.H. Fred Stewart, acompañado por su esposa Juliana, saludó personalmente a los asistentes y les dio una cálida bienvenida.

Al pasar al comedor, el H. Hamish McConnachie pronunció la Gracia de Selkirk, la conocida bendición atribuida al célebre poeta escocés Robert Burns, quien también fue Maestro Masón.

Durante la cena, el Venerable Maestro brindó con su esposa, con los miembros de la Logia y con los invitados presentes. Tanto la comida como el servicio ofrecidos por el personal del Hotel Bonalba fueron, una vez más, de primera categoría. Tras la cena, el Venerable Maestro propuso el Brindis Leal, después de lo cual el H. Haakon Ellingsen ofreció el Brindis a las Damas en inglés y en español. Seguidamente, su esposa Gemma pronunció la respuesta en nombre de las señoras.

En su intervención, el V.H. Stewart expresó su agradecimiento a Karen y Richard Davis, Sue y Hamish McConnachie, y Mike Le Peuple por la valiosa ayuda prestada en la organización del evento.

La animación musical estuvo a cargo de “Woody”, cuya excelente actuación animó a miembros e invitados a disfrutar de la pista de baile hasta bien entrada la noche.

La velada resultó ser un gran éxito y permitió recaudar algo más de 700 euros para las obras benéficas de la Logia.

On Sunday 27th September, under the warm late‑summer sun of Moraira, 55 brethren, partners and guests gathered at Bistro Va Bene for the joint Sunday lunch of Jávea Lodge No. 40 and Armonía de Ifach Lodge No. 46.

W. Bros Kevin Hamilton and Paul Nicholls welcomed everyone, setting a friendly and fraternal tone for the afternoon.

Before the meal, Bro. Stephen Young addressed the gathering, providing an encouraging update on the progress of the Centro de Marina Alta building project — a development that continues to inspire enthusiasm and unity across the Province.

Guests enjoyed a three‑course Persian‑themed lunch, accompanied by plentiful wine and lively conversation. The atmosphere was relaxed, cheerful, and full of fellowship.

A fabulous raffle followed, offering a wide selection of prizes. Thanks to the generosity of all present, over €1,000 was raised for Masonic Charities, demonstrating once again the Province’s strong commitment to benevolence.

The afternoon reached its high point when the R.W. Provincial Grand Master, R.W. Bro. Michael Anthony Shilan, rose to address the assembled guests. He spoke warmly about the strength of harmony between the Lodges, the value of shared social occasions, and the remarkable charitable spirit shown throughout the event. He expressed sincere gratitude to the organisers, the hosts at Bistro Va Bene, and all brethren, partners and guests whose presence and goodwill made the day so memorable. His words highlighted how such gatherings reinforce the bonds of friendship and the enduring values of Freemasonry within the Province of Valencia.

It was, in every respect, a wonderful afternoon of fellowship, charity, and late‑summer enjoyment.

R.L.S Jávea No 40 y Armonia de Ifach No 46 – Almuerzo del Domingo

El domingo 27 de septiembre, bajo el cálido sol de finales de verano en Moraira, 55 hermanos, acompañantes e invitados se reunieron en Bistro Va Bene para el almuerzo conjunto de Logia Jávea Nº 40 y Armonía de Ifach Nº 46.

Los V.H. Kevin Hamilton y Paul Nicholls dieron la bienvenida a todos, creando un ambiente fraternal y cordial desde el inicio.

Antes del almuerzo, el H. Stephen Young tomó la palabra para ofrecer una actualización alentadora sobre el progreso del proyecto de construcción del Centro de Marina Alta, una iniciativa que continúa generando entusiasmo y unidad en toda la Provincia.

Los invitados disfrutaron de un almuerzo de tres platos con temática persa, acompañado de abundante vino y animada conversación. El ambiente fue relajado, alegre y lleno de fraternidad.

A continuación se celebró una magnífica rifa, con una amplia variedad de premios. Gracias a la generosidad de todos los presentes, se recaudaron más de 1.000 € para las Obras Benéficas Masónicas, demostrando una vez más el fuerte compromiso de la Provincia con la caridad.

El punto culminante de la tarde llegó cuando el R.W. Gran Maestro Provincial, R.W. H. Michael Anthony Shilan, se levantó para dirigirse a los asistentes. Habló con calidez sobre la armonía entre las Logias, el valor de estos encuentros sociales y el extraordinario espíritu benéfico mostrado durante el evento. Expresó su sincero agradecimiento a los organizadores, al equipo de Bistro Va Bene y a todos los hermanos, acompañantes e invitados cuya presencia y buen ánimo hicieron que la jornada fuera verdaderamente memorable. Sus palabras subrayaron cómo estos encuentros fortalecen los lazos de amistad y los valores perdurables de la Masonería en la Provincia de Valencia.

Fue, en todos los sentidos, una maravillosa tarde de fraternidad, caridad y disfrute veraniego.

El día 4 de septiembre, el Q. H. Damian Galiana fue instalado como Venerable Maestro de la Logia, en una ceremonia solemne presidida por su predecesor, el V.H. Laurent Capo, quien llevó a cabo la instalación conforme a los antiguos usos y costumbres de la Orden.

La Logia tuvo el honor de recibir la visita oficial del Respetable Gran Maestro Provincial, R. H. Michael Anthony Shilan, acompañado por su escolta y distinguidos invitados procedentes de Rumanía y de otras Provincias de España.

Durante la ceremonia, el Respetable Gran Maestro Provincial hizo entrega al nuevo Venerable Maestro de un certificado conmemorativo, marcando así este importante hito en la vida de la Logia.

Tras la clausura de los trabajos, los Hermanos y visitantes se reunieron en el Ágape, donde reinó un ambiente de alegría, fraternidad y buen humor. Se observaron todos los brindis oficiales, culminando una jornada memorable para la Logia y para el nuevo Venerable Maestro.

Hiram Abif Lodge No 80 – Installation of Bro. Damian Galiana as Worshipful Master

On 4 September, Bro. Damian Galiana was installed as Worshipful Master of the Lodge in a dignified ceremony conducted by his predecessor, W. Bro. Laurent Capo, in accordance with the ancient usages and customs of the Craft.

The Lodge was honoured by the official visit of the R.W. Provincial Grand Master, R.W. Bro. Michael Anthony Shilan, who was accompanied by his escort of Provincial Grand Stewards and distinguished guests from Romania and other Provinces of Spain.

During the ceremony, the R.W. Provincial Grand Master presented the newly installed Worshipful Master with a certificate to mark the occasion, recognising this significant moment in the life of the Lodge.

After the ceremony, Brethren and guests gathered at the Festive Board, where an atmosphere of joy, fraternity, and good humour prevailed. All official toasts were observed, bringing to a close a memorable evening for the Lodge and its new Worshipful Master.
