On Saturday the 28th of September 2024,, the Provincial Grand Lodge of Valencia had the honor of Reconstituting Luz de Levante Lodge No.29. The gathering was graced by esteemed Brethren from various Provinces in Spain and distinguished Brethren from other constitutions, all united in the spirit of brotherly love and harmony that defines our noble fraternity. The ceremony was conducted with utmost excellence by the Provincial Grand Master R.W. Bro. Rodney Charles Bignell, ably assisted by his dedicated team. The future of Luz de Levante No.29 is entrusted to the capable hands of the newly installed Worshipful Master W.Bro. Juan Algado. We extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for his success and the continued prosperity of the Lodge. This momentous occasion brought immense pride not only to the Province of Valencia but to Spanish Freemasonry in its entirety.
History of the Lodge.
The Lodge, Luz de Levante was founded and consecrated on 27th June 1987 in Alicante and was the first Lodge created under the Grand Lodge of Spain in this province. It came about from the vision and efforts of members of various obediences including the United Grand Orient of Spain, The United Grand Lodge of Germany, and Dutch-origin Freemasons.
It therefore had a strong international spirit.
in 1997, after 10 years of work & brotherhood, they decided to ‘go dark’, and the brethren transferred to other lodges, including Hiram Abif No.80.
With a new spirit, it has now renewed its legacy of fraternity, wisdom, and light and will bring much to the province.
