Fabulous Christmas Show in Aid of Brotherly Love and Care and Alzheimer’s
Christmas really got underway on the evening of the 5th December in Espai La Senieta, Moraira. A fabulous Christmas show called “A Christmas Cracker” started the festive season with a bang. The show was opened by the delightful “Florrie” who sang Silent Night and Ave Maria accompanied by Kirsty Glen on piano, It was a perfect opening and was indeed very moving to see and hear such an accomplished performance from one so young. Next, the lovely Leah Kankowski really upped the tempo with some great renditions of some classic Christmas songs which included “Last Christmas”, “All I want for Christmas”, and several more. She also performed a superb tribute to the Leonard Cohen masterpiece “Hallelujah” – simply beautiful!
The second half of the show was dedicated to the Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir and was as anticipated, simply excellent. With some fabulous Christmas songs and Carols and songs from the Choir’s repertoire that they are justifiably famous for, including some great solos and quartets, it was certainly a night to remember, and with all profits going to the Brotherly Love and Care fund and Alzheimer’s charities, a terrific start to the holiday season.
