Freemasons Bake Pie For Per Ells

Freemasons raise over three hundred Euros for Charity.

Local Freemasons, from the White River Lodge No 153, recently held a charity barbecue to raise much needed funds for the Per Ells day centre for disabled children in Turis. It was held at the home of WBro Ian Skipper and his lovely wife Pam and between them, and their invited guests, they managed to raise over three hundred Euros for the charity.

Many local Freemasons attended and gave generously of both their time and their money. Much food was provided, barbecued and  eaten, including a huge pork pie made personally by WBro Mike Burns the Director of Ceremonies of the Lodge (and now the official pie maker!).

The money will be donated to the Per Ells centre at a later time, but will certainly be given before Christmas in order that the money can be spent on helping the children to have a better Christmas. Congratulations to Ian and Pam for a splendid effort in raising these much -needed funds.
