Alan Todd

Javea Nº40

It is my sad duty to report that W.Bro. Alan Todd has passed to the Grand Lodge above, just one week after his 97th Birthday.

Although he passed away in the UK, Brother Alan had an extensive Masonic career within the Grand Lodge of Spain obtaining the rank of Past Junior Grand Deacon and Past Provincial Grand Sword Bearer within the Province of Valencia.

Alan was a founder member of Javea Lodge  Nº40 being one of the original negotiating team who went to the Grand Master of the time and negotiated the terms of setting up the first English speaking Lodge with in the Province of Valencia.

He was also a founder member of Deportiva Lodge Nº83, which is now Arenal/Deportiva Nº65, along with R.W.Bro Ray Horn and R.W.Bro Ken Sainsbury. He was also a long serving Member of the Installed Masters Lodge Marina Alta Nº144.

He will be missed by many of the brethren though out the Province and our thoughts are now with his family.

This article was produced with the assistance of W.Bro. Derick Wait and W.Bro. Brian Imber.
