On Thursday evening, 07th March 2019, over 50 Brethren, along with their wives, partners and guests, gathered at the popular Viva España Restaurante in Oliva and sang, boogied and danced the evening away at a sixties and seventies sing-along party. Master-of-Ceremonies, Keith Alcock and music maestro, Darrell Clayton soon got everyone in the mood, and with some liquid lubrication, a very enjoyable evening was had by all.
A very tasty meal was provided while everyone caught their breath. After which, the Provincial Charity Steward, W Bro Trevor Bagnall aided by his wife Pat, carried out the raffle.
The sing-along was held to raise money for the underprivileged children’s summer camp in Gaudalest and, thanks to the generosity of the swingers, over €600 was realised at the end of the evening.
Many thanks must be given to Keith and Darrell who did most of the organising and hard work. They will be organising another sing-along in December when the theme will be Christmas songs, carols and even Slade!
