A Ladies Afternoon Tea Party raises 780€ for the 2014 Festival as well as helping a homeless charity.

Earlier this year Verena Turney, wife of Bro Bill Turney of Arenal Lodge No. 65 decided she wanted to ‘do her bit’ to help raise money for the Provincial Grand Lodge of Valencia Festival.

On Friday 15th June 2012, Old Tower Lodge No 49 and Dama de Elche Lodge No 163 held a joint Summer Party at the Nautilus Restaurant near Torrevieja in aid of the 2014 Festival. The evening was dubbed 'The Master's Coming Out Party' as it was hosted by the IPM's of each lodge, Rodney Bignell and Terry Porter, who both installed their successors in their lodge in May of this year. It was attended by 109 Brethren, wives and guests and was hailed as a resounding success. The evening raised 680 Euros for the festival and proved what could be done by lodges working jointly to a common aim.

A meeting took place on Wednesday 6th June 2012 to reflect on the achievements of the 1st year of 2014 Festival Appeal. At this meeting a cheque for 50,000 Euros was also handed to the Cruz Roja, so they could place an order for the 1st Ambulance
